You Don't Join the Church
HUH?
Now there's a lot of big name preachers saying "join the church of your choice," but remember,
the "church" means "called out".
- We are called by the gospel
(2 Thess2:14).
- We are saved by our obedience to it
(Hebrews 5:9).
- The "called out" of Christ
- is the saved of Christ
- is the body of Christ
- is the church of Christ
(I Cor 12:13,27;
Eph 1:22-23)
Knowing this, we can neither
- go to
- nor paint
- nor be late for
- nor reform
- nor restore
- nor join the church!
The Church = The Saved
In the 1st Century, Jesus established the church. God added to the church
those who were being saved (Acts 2:42) Why not be added to that church?
